VicPD releases images in the torching of a popular Victoria restaurant

An image of a suspect in a suspicious fire in the 2900 block of Douglas Street has been released by the VicPD on Jan 10.

The suspect is believed to be a Caucasian male with a medium build and short hair.

The fire at the 2900 block of Douglas Street occurred on June 16 at around 3 a.m. and destroyed a restaurant at the intersection of Douglas Street and Burnside Road.

The Victoria Fire Department and the VicPD investigated the incident and determined that the fire was caused by arson, as extensive damage to the building was observed.

The VicPD asks anyone with information about this incident or the suspect to call 250-995-7654 Ext 1 or 1-800-22-TIPS to make a report.
