Oceanside RCMP received 316 complaints the week of July 16 to July 23.
Some of the incidents included:
July 16
• A white 2022 Forest River travel trailer, B.C. licence plate WJT52T, was reported stolen in the 1300 block of Industrial Way, Parksville.
• A property gate was reported damaged in the 800 block of Rivers Edge Drive, Nanoose Bay. The arms of the cast iron gate had been pulled out of their posts.
• A female trespasser was reported in a closed school building in the 200 block of Village Way, Qualicum Beach.
• A nighttime trespasser was reported in the 300 block of Morison Avenue, Parksville.
July 17
• A vehicle was reported rummaged through with insurance papers missing in the 1200 block of Gilley Crescent, Parksville, on July 17.
• Mailboxes were reported vandalized in the area of Marina Way and Reef Road, Nanoose Bay.
July 18
• A cooler was reported stolen from the back of a truck in the 800 block of Island Highway West, Parksville.
• Front B.C. licence plate VA9655 was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 500 block of Memorial Avenue, Qualicum Beach.
• A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle in the area of Alberni Highway and Coombs Road, Coombs.
• A resident reported being defrauded more than $30,000 via an online romance scam.
July 19
• Nighttime trespassers were reported in a closed school building in the 200 block of Village Way, Qualicum Beach.
• A white 2012 Ford 350, B.C. licence plate MC9135, was reported stolen in the area of Highway 4 and Highway 4A intersection. Coombs junction.
• The Story Book Village was reported vandalized with a number of padlocks cut from buildings in the 700 block of Primrose Street, Qualicum Beach.
• A resident reported being defrauded $300 responding to an ad on a social media platform.
• A 12-foot Mirrocraft boat with a 15 HP Yamaha motor along with the boat trailer, B.C. plate WKX99Y was reported stolen in the 400 block of First Avenue West, Qualicum Beach.
• A residential break-and-enter was reported in the 100 block of Jensen Avenue East, Parksville. A window was broken and a male was arrested on site.

July 20
• A vehicle was reported vandalized with a tire punctured in the 100 block of Hirst Avenue West, Parksville.
• A black backpack containing a number of items was found in the 800 block of Fern Road, Qualicum Beach, on July 20. Please contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim quoting File 2023-7454.
• A resident reported being defrauded $500 responding to an ad on a social media platform.
July 22
• A 2016 Kona full suspension Mountain Bike and a Husqvarna 365 Chainsaw were reported stolen from a storage container in the 5600 block of Island highway West, Qualicum Beach.
• Both B.C. licence plates PC3990 were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1100 block of Smithers Road, Parksville.
