Oceanside RCMP received 242 complaints the week of May 28 to June 3. Of those calls, 27 were checks on well-being.
Some of hte other incidents included:
May 29
• Eight full propane tanks were reported stolen from an outside storage locker which had its locks cut in the 1500 block of Grafton Avenue, Errington. Two suspects were observed in video.
• A nighttime prowler was reported in the 800 block of Island Highway East, Parksville.
May 30
• A black ladies Genesze brand e-bicycle was reported stolen in the 1300 block of Cape Cod Drive, Parksville.
• A black foldable Ego brand e-bicycle was reported stolen in the Rathtrevor Beach Park, Parksville.
May 31
• A blue-and-white 1992 Chevrolet 1500 was reported stolen in the 3900 block of Horne Lake Cave Road, Qualicum Beach.
• A nighttime prowler was reported in the 100 block of Dobler Road, Parksville. Property damage to a fence was noted.

June 1
• A nighttime prowler was reported in the 100 block of Railway Street, Qualicum Beach, on June 1. A single male was apprehended.
• A black 1993 Honda motorcycle, B.C. licence plate J22651, was reported stolen from the French Creek Marina, Parksville.
• A daytime prowler was reported in the 300 block of McKillop Drive, Parksville.
• The front door of a residence was reported vandalized with the door broken in the 300 block of Hirst Avenue, Parksville.
• Youths along the railroad tracks were reported lighting debris on fire in the 400 block of Despard Avenue, Parksville.
• Charity eyeglass collection boxes, with contents, were reported stolen from a business in the 1200 block of Island Highway East, Parksville.
• A female was reported attempting to cash a fraudulent Government of Canada cheque at a financial institution in Parksville.
