Man taken to hospital with severe burns after stepping on flare at Raven Point Marina

There were no other injuries or damages

One man was transported to hospital after an incident involving a flare at Raven Point Marina this afternoon (Sept. 23).

B.C. Emergency Health Services loaded the man into an ambulance to take him to a landing site for an air ambulance. Eyewitnesses said the man injured his foot and sustained severe burns after stepping on a flare.

No one else was injured in the incident and there were no damages to property.
