One person was airlifted to the hospital following a motor vehicle collision on Cherry Creek Road on Saturday, March 6, 2021.
Cherry Creek Volunteer Fire Department was called to a collision between a motorcycle and a pickup truck on Cherry Creek Road near Owen Road at 3:25 p.m., said Cherry Creek Fire Chief Lucas Banton. One person was transported to the hospital via air ambulance with “serious injuries,” said Banton.
An air ambulance landed in the field at the First Baptist Church in order to transfer the patient from ground ambulance to the helicopter.
Cherry Creek Road was closed for a few hours afterward as collision analysis and reconstruction was conducted by emergency personnel.
