Flurries may fly on the south Island come Wednesday (Jan. 10).
Environment Canada predicts a 40 per cent chance of flurries overnight Wednesday as the temperature drops to 0 C. With expected daytime temps near 2 C, a 60 per cent chance of rain and snow forecast for Thursday in Greater Victoria.
Historical data shows the average low for Jan. 10 is .6 C and the average high at 6.6 C. The lowest documented temperature is -10.3 C in 1980.
When temperatures dip below zero, warming centres and emergency shelter beds are listed at victoriahomelessness.ca.
