(Tim Collins/Black Press Media) This photo essay is one of our favourite projects of the year because we get to spend the day out on the road meeting as many people as possible – as well as a few four-legged friends along the way.
Whether that’s a new face in the neighbourhood, a long-time business owner, or your local coffee shop barista, this feature lets us show off some of the hidden gems and well-loved spaces across the District of Saanich. From the local cinema, neighbourhood pool and a favourite farm, we try to share with you just about everything Saanich has to offer residents and visitors alike.
While we can’t quite jam everything in, we do also feature readers’ photos in our weekly print editions. So if we’ve missed your favourite place, please send us a photo for a chance to have it featured in a future paper.
We hope you enjoy the following photos as much as we did. And if we missed you this year, don’t wait until 2024, send us your highlights and successes so we can celebrate with you.
